Energy audit
Mandatory energy audit for large enterprises under the Energy Management Regulations.
Large enterprises must carry out regular energy mapping. We deliver the mapping so it both fulfils the requirement and provides a solid basis for decisions.
Contents
- Review of energy use by building, process and energy carrier
- Identification of measures with estimated savings and payback period
- Prioritised list of measures ranked by profitability and climate impact
- Report that meets the requirements of the Energy Management Regulations
After the report
- Basis for budgeting and investment decisions
- Input for taxonomy and CSRD reporting
- Basis for 3P-garantien or operational optimisation, where relevant
The mapping is required every four years. We structure the work so the data can be reused — not just archived.
Questions and answers
Who must carry out energy mapping?
Large enterprises with an average annual energy use above 2.5 GWh in Norway are covered by the energy mapping regulation, regardless of sector. Energy use is assessed across the organisation, not per building.
How often must the mapping be repeated?
The regulation took effect on 1 October 2024, and the mapping must be repeated every four years so the measure list stays current rather than becoming a one-off archive document.
What does the mapping deliver?
A review of energy use by building, process and energy carrier, a prioritised list of cost-effective measures with estimated savings and payback, and a report that both meets the requirement and supports investment decisions, CSRD and EU Taxonomy reporting.
How long does it take?
For a typical office building, six to ten weeks from signed agreement to final report — site inspection and data collection, analysis, then reporting and quality assurance.
