Design Management (PGL)
Leads and coordinates design consultants across disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
Design management keeps disciplines aligned from the first concept meeting through to completed tender documentation. Without clear leadership, disciplines pull in different directions, and interfaces become points of conflict rather than places for collaboration.
Our role
- Set up and chair design coordination across RIV, RIE, RIA, RIB, ARK
- Define phase milestones, deliverables, and quality targets
- Secure timely, documented cross-disciplinary decisions
- Track delivery against agreed scope and quality
- Coordinate with the client, project manager, and ITB
Phases
- Early phase: programming and concept selection
- Schematic and preliminary design
- Detailed design and tender documentation
- Follow-up through construction and handover
What it solves
- Disciplines working in parallel without coordination
- Inconsistent documentation at tender issue
- Late changes caused by early decisions that were not anchored across disciplines
We can lead the design team, or support the client's project manager. The goal is to deliver to the contractor a buildable, costed, and coordinated package.
