Owner's Representative (BHO)
The client's representative for technical disciplines — coordinates consultants, supervises execution, and safeguards the owner's interests.
The owner's representative is the owner's voice in the project. When the owner lacks in‑house technical capacity, we act as their representative throughout the project — from concept selection to handover.
Our role
- The owner's technical representative toward designers, contractors and suppliers
- Coordination of consultants on behalf of the owner
- Verification of designed solutions against the owner's actual needs
- Decision support for concept selection, material choices and technology decisions
- Monitoring budget, schedule and quality on behalf of the owner
- Acceptance and handover, including technical documentation
What it prevents
- Decisions made on the contractor's terms because the owner lacks counter‑expertise
- Technical choices that are inexpensive to build but costly to operate
- Insufficient documentation at handover
When it's appropriate
- Property funds and family‑owned companies without an internal technical department
- Housing cooperatives and condominium associations during large‑scale refurbishments
- Public clients needing specialist technical expertise
We have no supplier interests. That means recommendations are given in the owner's interest — even when that is inconvenient for the project.
