DNV's headquarters at Høvik, on the outskirts of Oslo, is a large facility consisting of three building complexes and several smaller buildings, with a total building area of around 180,000 m². Here, SustEvo has assisted with a project to upgrade the heating and cooling system with new propane heat pumps powered by thermal energy from the fjord.
The new system delivers a heating output of 4,800 kW and a cooling output of 9,000 kW. The project was completed in six months, with only two days of cooling downtime and no heating downtime.
