Pynten Borettslag

Greener Heating for Pynten Residents (Oslo): Lower Costs & Reduced Emissions. Heat pump upgrade underway.

Energy-efficient upgrade in Pynten Housing Association

Pynten Borettslag, with 566 residential units at Bergkrystallen in Oslo, is undergoing a comprehensive modernization of its heating system to reduce energy consumption and ensure more sustainable heating. The project, which started in November 2022, involves a transition from pellets and biogas to a more energy-efficient system based on heat pumps.

The solution includes 78 boreholes at a depth of 320 meters, ensuring stable and renewable heat for the housing association. The goal is an annual energy saving of 3.5 GWh, which will provide significant cost reductions for residents while reducing environmental impact. This project marks an important step towards more sustainable residential heating in Norway.
