3P-garantien is the guarantee product from SustEvo. We identify measures, implement them and document the effect. The customer pays for the actual, measured reduction — nothing else.

How it works

The model suits owners who want to reduce consumption quickly but lack the capacity to take on the technical risk of implementation themselves.

3P-garantien is built on the principles of international energy performance contracts (EPC), adapted to the reality of Norwegian building owners. The difference from a traditional consulting delivery is the allocation of responsibility: we assume both the technical and commercial risk that the measures actually deliver the promised savings. This requires that we carry out a thorough survey before contract, select measures we can stand behind, and closely monitor the installation after commissioning. In return, the building owner gets a predictable cost tied to actual performance, not to hours or deliverables. The model can be combined with Enova support and suits both single buildings and portfolios where one wants to accelerate the energy transition without tying up own capital or technical expertise.

How the model works

• Baseline measurement before measures: we establish a normalized reference consumption based on historical data, climate and operational profile.
• Guaranteed kWh and CO₂ reduction: the contract sets concrete targets for energy and emissions reduction.
• Sharing of savings or fixed price with risk sharing: the commercial model is adapted to the project, from pure gain-sharing to fixed annual payment with bonus/malus.
• Measurement and verification according to IPMVP: independent methodology to document actual savings against the reference.
• Duration 3–7 år: the contract period allows time to realise the effects of measures and adjust operations over several heating seasons.
