A retrofitted energy plant room reduced peak load and operating costs for the shopping centre.
The assignment
Vestkanten shopping centre had an aging heating and cooling system with high peak load and rising operating costs. SustEvo designed a retrofit of the energy plant room and at the same time laid the groundwork for improved operations management.
Result
A new heat-pump solution and upgraded controls provide both heating and cooling year-round. Peak load has been noticeably reduced, operating costs have been cut, and the centre now has a technical system that is easier to operate and maintain.
