A retrofitted energy plant room cut peak load and operating costs at the shopping centre.
The assignment
Vestkanten shopping centre was running an ageing heating and cooling system with high peak load and rising operating costs. SustEvo designed a retrofit of the energy plant room and, in parallel, laid the groundwork for better operations management.
Result
A new heat pump solution and upgraded controls now deliver year-round heating and cooling. Peak load is noticeably lower, operating costs are down, and the plant is easier to operate and maintain.
