A rebuilt energy plant room reduced the shopping centre's peak load and operating costs.
The project
Vestkanten shopping centre had an aging heating and cooling plant with high peak load and rising operating costs. SustEvo designed a retrofit of the energy plant room and at the same time laid the foundation for improved operational control.
Result
A new heat pump solution and upgraded controls provide both heating and cooling throughout the year. Peak load has been noticeably reduced, operating costs have been cut, and the centre now has a technical installation that is easier to operate and maintain.
