The assignment
Joh. Johannson Kaffe planned to build a new coffee factory in Vestby, with high ambitions for both production quality and environmental performance. SustEvo contributed to the design with a focus on an energy-efficient process, heat recovery and BREEAM documentation.
The result
The plant recovers heat from the burner and cooling processes and covers a large share of its own heating demand. The building is certified BREEAM Excellent, and the operations organisation now has a facility that is easier to manage in daily operation.
