New propane heat pumps in training and simulator buildings using a natural, low-GWP refrigerant.
The assignment
CAE Oslo was to upgrade the heating and cooling supply in the training and simulator building at Gardermoen. Requirements were high for operational reliability, while the choice of refrigerant had to remain viable over time in light of tightening regulation.
The result
New propane heat pumps cover heating and cooling using a natural refrigerant with very low GWP. The solution is robust against upcoming F-gas requirements, and the energy performance is better than the old installation.
