The assignment
CAE Oslo needed to upgrade the heating and cooling supply in the training and simulator building at Gardermoen. Requirements for operational reliability were high, and the choice of refrigerant needed to remain robust over time amid tightening regulations.
The result
New propane heat pumps provide heating and cooling using a natural refrigerant with very low GWP. The solution is robust against upcoming F-gass requirements, and the energy performance is better than the previous installation.
